There is a wealth of different types of shopping opportunities from small convenience stores based close to apartment blocks and Metro stations, to huge shopping centers located on the outskirts of the city. If you are keen to keep in touch with western trends familiar retail chains are becoming more and more apparent each year.
In terms of supermarket shopping, there is a variety of different chains offering a wide range of produce including some expat goods. Farmers markets also exist where fresh produce can be purchased and you can get a real taste of 'local' Moscow.

It's easier to shop ...
It's easier to shop if? you know Russian and you need to know places.
If you want to live ...
If you want to live like a peasant, it's cheap. It does NOT offer everything a big city has to offer. Half of the goods in a British supermarket are not available anywhere in Moscow. Even in rip-off Ally Parusa there are many gaps in the market. It just seems like a luxury, though when you go shopping there after going to Petarutchka or Magnet which are? a shambles!
@avenueu I think ...
@avenueu I think Zara? is Spanish.
thanks!?
thanks!?
Is Zara a British ...
Is Zara a British store? I never knew that. Maybe it is, I just never? knew. Anyway, they have GAP here now. The prices are double the US prices, but it's here and that is nice.
